การใช้ will

Verb Tenses (Future Tenses )

ในบทนี้จะได้กล่าวถึงการใช้ Future tenses ทั้ง 4 รูปคือ Simple Future ,Future progressive,Future perfect,และ Future perfect progressive.

1. Simple Future
โครงสร้าง

Subject + auxiliary verb ( will ) + main verb ( base form)ประธาน + กริยาช่วย ( will ) + กริยาหลักช่อง 1

การใช้

ใช้กับการกระทำหรือเหตุการณ์ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต จะมีคำบอกเวลาอนาคตกำกับอยู่ด้วย

They will finish the work tomorrow.
He will arrive next Saturday.
Where will you be this time next year.
I'll be in London tomorrow.
Will you be at work tomorrow?

ใช้ในการพูดถึงเรื่องใดเรื่องหนึ่งที่ไม่มีแผนที่จะพูดมาก่อน

Hold on. I'll get a pen.
We will see what we can do to help you.
Maybe we'll stay in and watch television tonight.

มักจะใช้ simple future tense กับคำกริยา to thinkI think

I'll go to the gym tomorrow.
I think I will have a holiday next year.
I don't think I'll buy that car.

ใช้ในการพูดทำนองทำนายการเกิดเหตุการณ์อนาคต

It will rain tomorrow.
People won't go to Jupiter before the 22nd century.
Who do you think will get the job?The movie "Troy " will win several Academy Awards.
It will rain tomorrow.

ใช้กับสถานการณ์แสดงการสมัครใจ เสนอตัวทำ

Will someone open the window for me?""I'll do it!"I'm really hungry.
I'll make some sandwiches.
I'm so tired.
I'm about to fall asleep.
I'll get you some coffee.

การใช้ Will และ Shall

ถ้าต้องการแสดงอนาคต ใช้ will กับประธานทุกคำ
ถ้าต้องการแสดงความตั้งใจ ใช้ shall กับประธานทุกคำ เช่น
I will come to the party.
I shall be disappointed

ประโยคที่มีความหมายเป็นอนาคต อาจไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้ will หรือ shall แต่ใช้
รูปอื่นแทนได้ เช่นWe'll fly tomorrow.
ใช้รูป : Present Simple เช่น We fly tomorrow.
ใช้รูป : Present Progressive เช่น We are flying tomorrow.
ใช้รูป : going to เช่น We are going to fly tomorrow.
ใช้รูป : is to , are to เช่น The Prime Minister is to visit Japan.

2. Future Progressive ( continuous )
โครงสร้าง

Subject + auxiliary verb ( will ) + auxiliary verb ( be ) + main verb ( present participle )ประธาน + กริยาช่วย ( will ) + กริยาช่วย ( be )+ กริยาหลัก+ ing

การใช้

ใช้เมื่อต้องการจะบอกว่า ณ เวลาหนึ่งในอนาคต จะมีเหตุการณ์อย่างหนึ่งกำลังดำเนินอยู่ ในประโยคจะมีคำบอกเวลา ณ จุดหนึ่งในอนาคตกำกับอยู่ด้วยเสมอ เป็นการใช้เพื่อเน้นการกระทำ ทีกำลังดำเนินในอนาคต

I will be playing tennis at 10am tomorrow.
He will be studying at the US next year.
At midnight tonight, we will still be driving through the desert

ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ 2 เหตุการณ์ในอนาคตซึ่งเกิดไม่พร้อมกัน

We 'll be having dinner when the film starts.
Take your umbrella.
It will be raining when you return.
When your plane arrives tonight, I will be waiting for you.

3.Future Perfect
โครงสร้าง

Subject + auxiliary verb ( will ) + auxiliary verb ( have ) + main verb ( past participle )ประธาน + กริยาช่วย ( will ) + กริยาช่วย ( have )+ กริยาหลักช่อง 3

การใช้

ใช้เมื่อต้องการบอกว่า เมื่อถึงเวลาหนึ่งในอนาคต เหตุการณ์อย่างหนึ่งจะจบสิ้นลง
By next November, I will have received my promotionThe train will have left when you arrive.
You can call me at work at 08:15 am.
I will have arrived at the office by 08:00.
All these roses will have died before Christmas.
They will have finished the work by next week.

4. Future Perfect Progressive
โครงสร้าง

Subject + auxiliary verb ( will ) + auxiliary verb ( have ) + auxiliary verb ( been ) + main verb ( present participle)ประธาน + กริยาช่วย ( will ) + กริยาช่วย ( have )+ กริยาช่วย ( been )+ กริยาหลัก+ing

การใช้

ใช้เมื่อต้องการจะบอกว่า เมื่อถึงเวลาหนึ่งในอนาคต เหตุการณ์อย่างหนึ่งซึ่งดำเนินมาก่อนหน้านั้นก็ยังคงดำเนินอยู่ และจะดำเนินต่อไปอีก
I will have been working here for ten years next week.
He will be tired when he arrives.
He will have been traveling for 24 hours.
They will have been talking for over an hour by the time I arrive.
Do you realize that by the time we arrive in Had Yai, we will have been driving for twenty straight hours.

เปรียบเทียบการใช้ Future Perfect Progressive กับ Future Perfect

Future Perfect Progressive :
In December I will have been writing this book for seven monthsเมื่อถึงเดือนธันวาคม ฉันก็จะเขียนหนังสือนี้มาได้เจ็ดเดือน ( และจะเขียนต่อไป )

Future Perfect :
I will finish this book in January next year, when I will have written this book for eight months. ประโยคนี้แสดงว่าเมื่อถึงเดือนมกราคม การเขียนจะเสร็จสิ้น ไม่มีการเขียนอีกต่อไป
